Legal Website Terms of Use
Website Terms of Use
1. Who we are and what these terms cover
1.1 These Website Terms of Use (Terms) apply to the websites operated by SovSec Ltd, a private limited company registered in England and Wales under company number [COMPANY NUMBER], registered office [REGISTERED OFFICE ADDRESS] — and, from the date on which it assumes the contract by written notice, its Austrian subsidiary [SOVSEC FLEXCO NAME], registered in the Austrian commercial register (Firmenbuch) under FN [FN NUMBER], Landesgericht [COURT], seat [ADDRESS, AUSTRIA] (planned 2028) (SovSec, we, us, our).
1.2 They cover the following websites (together, the Sites):
Site Purpose
sovsec.com SovSec security and managed services: service information, articles, the Sovereignty Index, contact and enquiry forms
prismara.eu Prismara product suite: product information, pricing, sign-in links for users and administrators
<app>.prismara.eu Microsites for individual Prismara products (for example identity.prismara.eu)
<app>- Public demonstration environments of Prismara products, populated with fictional data only (Demo Sites) demo.prismara.eu
1.3 These Terms do not govern your use of Prismara or SovSec services under an account, subscription or order. Those are governed by the contract you accept when you sign up or order (for example the Prismara Personal terms, or a services agreement for business clients) and by our Acceptable Use Policy (SOV-LG-008). If those terms conflict with these Terms, those terms prevail for the service concerned.
1.4 How we handle personal data collected through the Sites, including through contact forms and cookies, is described in our Privacy Policy (SOV-LG-005). Our trading and company information is in SOV-LG-014 (Legal Notice (Impressum) & Disclosure).
2. Acceptance of these terms
2.1 By using the Sites you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Sites. You do not need to create an account to browse the public Sites.
2.2 If you use the Sites on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to accept these Terms for it, and you includes that organisation.
2.3 Please also read our Acceptable Use Policy (SOV-LG-008) and, if you intend to look for security weaknesses, our Vulnerability Disclosure Policy (SOV-LG-013). Both form part of these Terms.
3. Using the Sites
3.1 We make the Sites available free of charge. You may view, download and print pages for your own information, including for evaluating our services within your organisation.
3.2 You must be at least 16 years old to submit a contact form or use a Demo Site. Our services are not directed at children.
3.3 You are responsible for the equipment, software and internet connection you use to access the Sites, and for keeping any sign-in details reasonably secure. Sign-in buttons on prismara.eu lead to the relevant Prismara service, which is governed by its own terms (clause 1.3).
3.4 We may restrict access to some parts of the Sites, or to the Sites as a whole, for operational, security or legal reasons.
4. Demo environments
F I C T I O N A L D ATA O N LY
Demo Sites are shared, public sandboxes. Everything in them is fictional. Do not enter real personal data, real business data, real credentials or any confidential information into a Demo Site. Anything you type into a Demo Site may be visible to other visitors until the next reset.
4.1 Demo Sites let you try Prismara products using fictional organisations, people, mailboxes, devices and alerts created by us. Any resemblance to a real person or organisation is unintended.
4.2 Demo Sites are provided for evaluation only. They may be incomplete, run pre-release software, differ from the production service, and may be changed, reset (wiping all data entered), rate-limited or withdrawn at any time without notice. We do not promise any level of availability, performance or data retention for Demo Sites.
4.3 If you enter real personal data despite the fictional-data notice at the start of section 4, we will delete it at the next reset or sooner once we become aware of it. Please tell us at privacy@sovsec.com if you have done so by mistake.
4.4 You must not use Demo Sites to send real emails or messages to third parties, to store or transfer files other than for evaluation, or to test security beyond what our Vulnerability Disclosure Policy (SOV-LG-013) allows. Outbound email and external connections from Demo Sites are disabled or restricted.
4.5 Results you see in a Demo Site (for example security scores, detections or compliance dashboards) are illustrations based on fictional data and are not an assessment of your own systems.
5. Content and intellectual property
5.1 The Sites and their content — including text, articles, the Sovereignty Index, graphics, designs, software, documentation, screenshots and the selection and arrangement of content — are owned by or licensed to SovSec and are protected by copyright, database rights and other intellectual property rights.
5.2 Subject to these Terms, you may view, download and print content for your personal use or for internal evaluation within your organisation. You may quote short extracts with attribution to SovSec and a link to the source page.
5.3 You must not, without our prior written permission: (a) reproduce, republish, sell or commercially exploit content beyond clause 5.2; (b) remove copyright or other notices; (c) present our content as your own; or (d) systematically extract content or data from the Sites, including by scraping, crawling or harvesting, other than by general-purpose search engines that respect our robots.txt file, and subject to any text and data mining reservation we express in machine-readable form.
5.4 We reserve the right to use our content for text and data mining, including for training artificial intelligence models, under § 42h(6) of the Austrian Copyright Act (UrhG) and Art. 4(3) of Directive (EU) 2019/790. Where we express this reservation in machine-readable form on the Sites, it applies to all content on the Sites.
5.5 Some content may include material licensed from third parties or open-source components, which remain subject to their own licences.
5.6 If you send us feedback or suggestions about the Sites or our products, you allow us to use them without obligation to you. This does not apply to personal data, which we handle under our Privacy Policy (SOV-LG-005).
6. No professional advice
6.1 Content on the Sites — including security articles, threat write-ups, guidance, checklists, regulatory summaries, pricing examples and the Sovereignty Index — is general information only. It is not legal, regulatory, technical or professional advice and is not tailored to your circumstances.
6.2 The Sovereignty Index and similar comparisons reflect our methodology and the information publicly available to us at the date stated. They are opinions and assessments, not statements of fact about any third party, and may become out of date. Where we name third-party products, the names are used to identify them and do not imply any relationship with or endorsement by their owners.
6.3 Before acting on any content, you should obtain advice suited to your situation. If you are a business, you may engage us for advice under a written services agreement, which will then set out our responsibility for that advice.
6.4 Prices and product descriptions on the Sites are an invitation to discuss or order, not an offer capable of acceptance. A contract arises only as described in the applicable order process or service terms.
7. Prohibited uses
7.1 You must not use the Sites:
1. in any way that breaches applicable law or regulation, or for any fraudulent or harmful purpose; 2. to transmit or upload malware, or any material that is unlawful, defamatory, infringing or offensive; 3. to send unsolicited advertising or spam through our contact forms, or to submit false, misleading or automated form entries; 4. to probe, scan, test the vulnerability of, or attempt to circumvent security or authentication on the Sites or any connected system, except in good faith within the scope and rules of our Vulnerability Disclosure Policy (SOV-LG-013). Activity outside that policy is unauthorised and may be an offence under §§ 118a, 119, 119a and 126a–126c of the Austrian Criminal Code (StGB) and the corresponding laws of the Member State concerned; 5. to carry out denial-of-service or load testing, or to place an unreasonable load on our infrastructure; 6. to access the Sites by automated means except as permitted in clause 5.3(d), or to use the Sites to build a competing product or dataset; 7. to impersonate SovSec, Prismara, our staff or any other person, or to frame or mirror the Sites; or 8. in breach of the Acceptable Use Policy (SOV-LG-008).
7.2 We may block or report activity that we reasonably believe breaches this clause, and may disclose information to law enforcement or other authorities where the law requires or allows us to.
8. Links
8.1 The Sites may link to third-party websites (for example standards bodies, regulators or partners). We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, availability or privacy practices. A link is not an endorsement.
8.2 You may link to our home pages, or to a specific public article, in a way that is fair and lawful and does not damage our reputation or suggest any association, approval or endorsement that does not exist. You must not link from a website you do not own, and must not link to Demo Sites in a way that invites others to enter real data. We may withdraw linking permission at any time.
9. Contact forms and enquiries
9.1 When you use a contact, demo-request, partner or newsletter form, we receive the information you submit and store it in our own customer relationship system (Prismara CRM), hosted in the EU. We use it to respond to your enquiry and, where you have agreed or the law otherwise allows, to send you relevant information. Details, including your rights and how long we keep data, are in our Privacy Policy (SOV-LG-005).
9.2 Please do not include special category data, credentials, or details of an active security incident in a form. If you need urgent help with an incident, say so in the form and we will contact you by an appropriate channel; to report a vulnerability in our products or Sites, use security@sovsec.com as described in SOV-LG-013.
9.3 Submitting a form does not create a contract or an obligation on us to provide services, and does not make you a client.
10. Availability and changes to the Sites
10.1 We aim to keep the Sites available and accurate, but we provide them free of charge and on an “as available” basis. We do not promise that the Sites, or any content, will always be available, uninterrupted, error-free or up to date.
10.2 We may update, suspend, withdraw or restrict any part of the Sites for business, operational, security or legal reasons. We will try to give reasonable notice of significant changes where practical.
10.3 Although we apply strong security measures to the Sites, no system is completely secure. You should use your own up-to-date security software when accessing any website.
11. Our liability
W H AT W E N E V E R E X C L U D E
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for damage caused intentionally or through gross negligence, for personal injury (injury to life, body or health), under the Austrian Product Liability Act (PHG), or for any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable mandatory law. If you are a consumer, nothing in these Terms affects your mandatory rights under the Austrian Consumer Protection Act (KSchG), the Distance and Off-Premises Contracts Act (FAGG) and the Consumer Warranty Act (VGG) or the mandatory consumer protection law of your country of habitual residence.
11.1 Because we provide the Sites free of charge and without a separate contract for services, our liability for slight negligence in connection with the Sites is excluded to the extent permitted by law. This exclusion does not apply to personal injury or, where you are a consumer, to damage to items you have handed to us for processing (§ 6(1) no. 9 KSchG).
11.2 Where we are liable to a business user for slight negligence despite clause 11.1 (for example under a statutory provision that does not allow exclusion), our liability is limited to foreseeable damage typical of the situation, and we are not liable for loss of profit, indirect or consequential damage, or loss of data that could have been avoided by reasonable backups.
11.3 For consumers, the information on the Sites, including the Sovereignty Index and articles, is not supplied under a contract for digital content or services, but if any such contract arises, the statutory warranty rules of the VGG apply unchanged.
11.4 Our liability for Demo Sites is further limited by clause 4: you must not enter real data, and we are not responsible for loss of data you enter in breach of the fictional-data notice in section 4. This does not limit liability for intent, gross negligence or personal injury.
12. Trademarks
12.1 SovSec, Prismara, the Prismara product names (including Prismara Identity, Admin, Mail, Talk, Work, Spaces, Prism, Browser, OS, Core, Endpoint, SOC, ZTNA, Gov, Crucible, Reach, Desk, CRM, HR, ERP and Cloud), the tagline “Sovereignty is Security.” and our logos are our trade marks or trading names, whether or not registered. [Registration status: see drafting notes.]
12.2 You may not use our trade marks or logos without our prior written permission, except to refer accurately to us or our products in a way that does not suggest sponsorship or endorsement. Partners may use them only under the brand rules in their partner agreement.
12.3 Third-party names and marks (for example Microsoft, Microsoft 365, Defender and Entra) belong to their owners and are used only to identify products and services. SovSec is not affiliated with, sponsored or endorsed by those owners unless we expressly say so.
13. Changes to these terms
13.1 We may revise these Terms from time to time, for example to reflect changes in law, our Sites or our services. The version and date at the top of these Terms show when they last changed. Each time you use the Sites, the version in force at that time applies.
13.2 If a change materially affects users who have given us their contact details (for example newsletter subscribers), we will tell them by email before the change takes effect where practical.
14. Law and courts
14.1 These Terms and any non-contractual disputes arising from them are governed by Austrian law, excluding its conflict-of-law rules and the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG).
14.2 If you are a business user (Unternehmer), the exclusive place of jurisdiction is the competent court in Vienna, Austria (Innere Stadt).
14.3 If you are a consumer, the choice of Austrian law does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory provisions of the law of the country in which you have your habitual residence (Art. 6(2) Rome I Regulation). You may bring proceedings against us in the courts of the place where you are domiciled or in Austria, and we may bring proceedings against you only in the courts of the Member State where you are domiciled (Arts. 17–18 Brussels Ia Regulation; § 14 KSchG). Consumer dispute resolution options are described in SOV-LG-014.
14.4 These Terms are drafted in English. Where we provide a German translation, the English version prevails for business users; for consumers, either version may be relied on and any ambiguity is resolved in your favour.
14.5 If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in effect. A failure or delay in enforcing a provision is not a waiver.

1.1 These Website Terms of Use (Terms) apply to the websites operated by SovSec Ltd, a private limited company registered in England and Wales under company number [COMPANY NUMBER], whose registered office is at [REGISTERED OFFICE ADDRESS] (SovSec, we, us, our).
1.2 They cover the following websites (together, the Sites):
Site Purpose
sovsec.com, sovsec.co.uk (redirects to SovSec security and managed services: service information, articles, the Sovereignty sovsec.com) Index, contact and enquiry forms
prismara.eu Prismara product suite: product information, pricing, sign-in links for users and administrators
<app>.prismara.eu Microsites for individual Prismara products (for example identity.prismara.eu)
<app>-demo.prismara.eu Public demonstration environments of Prismara products, populated with fictional data only (Demo Sites)
Our trading and company information is in SOV-LG-014 (Company Information & Legal Notice).

3.4 We may restrict access to some parts of the Sites, or to the Sites as a whole, for operational, security or legal reasons.
4. Demo environments

5.3 You must not, without our prior written permission: (a) reproduce, republish, sell or commercially exploit content beyond clause 5.2; (b) remove copyright or other notices; (c) present our content as your own; or (d) systematically extract content or data from the Sites, including by scraping, crawling or harvesting, other than by general-purpose search engines that respect our robots.txt file.
5.4 Some content may include material licensed from third parties or open-source components, which remain subject to their own licences.
5.5 If you send us feedback or suggestions about the Sites or our products, you allow us to use them without obligation to you.
Activity outside that policy is unauthorised and may be an offence under the Computer Misuse Act 1990; 5. to carry out denial-of-service or load testing, or to place an unreasonable load on our infrastructure; 6. to access the Sites by automated means except as permitted in clause 5.3(d), or to use the Sites to build a competing product or dataset; 7. to impersonate SovSec, Prismara, our staff or any other person, or to frame or mirror the Sites; or 8. in breach of the Acceptable Use Policy (SOV-LG-008).
N O T H I N G I N T H E S E T E R M S L I M I T S L I A B I L I T Y T H AT C A N N O T L AW F U L LY B E L I M I T E D
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under the law of England and Wales. If you are a consumer, nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights.
If you are a business user
11.1 To the extent permitted by law, we exclude all implied conditions, warranties, representations or other terms that may apply to the Sites or their content.
11.2 Subject to the paragraph at the start of this section 11, we will not be liable to a business user, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), breach of statutory duty or otherwise, even if foreseeable, for any loss or damage arising under or in connection with use of, or inability to use, the Sites, or use of or reliance on any content on the Sites. In particular, we will not be liable for loss of profits, sales, business or revenue, business interruption, loss of anticipated savings, loss of business opportunity, goodwill or reputation, or any indirect or consequential loss or damage. This clause is subject to the requirement of reasonableness under the Unfair Contract Terms Act 1977 where it applies.
If you are a consumer
11.3 We only provide the Sites for domestic and private use. You agree not to use the Sites for any commercial or business purpose, other than evaluating our services, and we have no liability to you for any loss of profit, loss of business, business interruption or loss of business opportunity.
11.4 If we fail to comply with these Terms, we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breach or our failure to use reasonable care and skill. Loss or damage is foreseeable if it is obvious that it will happen or if, at the time you accessed the Sites, both we and you knew it might happen.
11.5 If digital content we have supplied through the Sites damages a device or digital content belonging to you, and this is caused by our failure to use reasonable care and skill, we will either repair the damage or pay you compensation, as required by the Consumer Rights Act 2015. We will not be liable for damage you could have avoided by following our advice to apply an update offered to you free of charge, or by correctly following installation instructions or having in place the minimum system requirements we advise.
11.6 Our liability for Demo Sites is further limited by clause 4: you must not enter real data, and we are not responsible for loss of data you enter in breach of the fictional-data notice in section 4. This sentence does not limit any liability described in the callout above.
14.1 If you are a business user, these Terms, their subject matter and their formation (and any non-contractual disputes or claims) are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
